Coastal Surveillance

Thousands of kilometers of coastline remain unmonitored. Patrol boats are expensive, slow, and limited to surface-level observation.
Hydrogliss Role
Persistent autonomous patrols below the surface — undetectable, untiring, covering zones that crewed vessels cannot sustain.

Challenge
Ports face underwater threats including limpet mines, diver intrusions, and smuggling via hull attachments — invisible to surface-level security.
Hydrogliss Role
Covert subsurface patrols around port perimeters and vessel hulls with real-time anomaly detection and alerting.

Illegal maritime activities — poaching, smuggling, unauthorized anchoring — occur in zones where enforcement presence is minimal.

Autonomous monitoring and evidence gathering in restricted maritime zones without the cost or risk of crewed deployments.

Challenge
Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated (IUU) fishing costs billions annually and devastates marine ecosystems. Detection is inconsistent across vast ocean areas.
Hydrogliss Role
Persistent underwater surveillance of fishing zones with acoustic and visual monitoring to identify and report unauthorized activity.

Offshore Asset Monitoring

Challenge
Offshore platforms, pipelines, and cables face threats from corrosion, impact, and sabotage — inspection is infrequent and expensive.
Hydrogliss Role
Autonomous inspection loops around critical offshore infrastructure, providing continuous structural monitoring and threat detection.

Ocean Research

Challenge
Marine research relies on expensive ship time, stationary buoys, or AUVs with limited endurance. Long-duration data collection remains a challenge.
Hydrogliss Role
Low-cost, low-impact autonomous platforms for extended oceanographic data collection — temperature, salinity, current, and biological sampling.

Border & Maritime Security

STATUS○ PLANNED
Challenge
Maritime borders are porous. Surveillance gaps between coastal radar stations and patrol routes create corridors for unauthorized crossings.
Hydrogliss Role
Networked swarm patrols across maritime boundaries — detecting, tracking, and relaying intelligence on unauthorized vessel movements.

All application scenarios are planned mission profiles based on platform design capabilities. None are currently deployed operationally. Mission-specific payloads and certifications are in development.
